Welcome to Retroman40's World!

Heaven Hill

A visit to the Heaven Hill Distillery will take you to the Bourbon Heritage Center (BHC).  They offer four types of tours offered here.  We took the "Deluxe Tour" which took a little over an hour and costs six dollars per person.  We'd really like to get back for the "Behind the Scenes Tour".  If you are going to visit, I would recommend checking out the Bourbon Heritage Website by clicking here.

The museum quality displays in the BHC are alone worth the trip.  The post tour tasting room (called The Parker Beam Tasting Barrel) is one of the finest facilities of this type.  They don't allow photos in the room so I guess you'll just have to visit the place yourself.  This tour we took does involve some significant walking from the main visitor's center to one of the aging warehouses but does not include any steps.  Again, if you have mobility concerns I would recommend contacting the Bourbon Heritage Center in advance.  They are nice people and I'm sure they'll do their best to help anyone with the experience.

Below is a gallery of photos taken during the tour.  These photos were taken in June 2010.
